One look at the geography of the Turks and Caicos Islands and it's no wonder this place is wall-diving central, with depths, just offshore, approaching 12,000 feet. The Turks and Caicos, about an hour and a half flight from Miami, Florida, are made of two chains of islands totaling twelve islands in all. Perched atop a shallow bank separated by a trench-like channel, the twelve islands include West Caicos, Providenciales, North Caicos, Middle Caicos, East Caicos, South Caicos and Long Cay, French Cay, Grand Turk, Gibbs Cay, Cotton Cay, and Salt Cay. The three main islands, Providenciales (aka Provo), Grand Turk, and Salt Cay, all sit front and center on deep ocean passages that are lined with healthy vibrant reefs. Dropping over the edge of these steep vertical walls creates a pulse-pounding rush. Provo is the most developed. It's a cosmopolitan island with an abundance of big resorts, restaurants, casinos, and clubs. It's also a great getaway, with some of the longest white sand beaches in the Caribbean. The island also offers many non-diving options, from parasailing over gorgeous Grace Bay to windsurfing lessons. Meanwhile on quirky and quiet Grand Turk, donkeys and roosters have the right of way and the locals gather each evening to make music. Join us on this dive travel adventure as we dive the beautiful reefs and the crystal clear waters below with the crew of Caicos Adventure's dive boats, located on the main island of Provo.
