Product Description
The Sea of Cortez keeps many secrets, rare schooling Hammerhead Sharks, Giant Manta Rays shadowing colorful underwater landscapes, frolicking sea lions as playful as puppies and rare species of fish found only in the Sea of Cortez. On shore, another secret - a new organization called UnderwaterTV reaching out to local research groups to support and promote environmentally friendly TV programing of wonderous creatures whose lives depend on a healthy environment. Secrets of the Sea of Cortez is an extraordinary DVD which showcases the many marine species that make up the beautiful Sea of Cortez, including many species of dolphins, sharks, turtles, sea lions, rare sea urchins, eels, rays, and countless types of fish. It also features incredible footage of species that pass through the Sea of Cortez during seasonal migrations- breaching Humback Whales, Giant pods of Pilot Whales, and the legendary Orca. UnderwaterTV is partnering with Manta Mexico and Project Hammerhead on special documentary projects and research assistance with two goals: To educate people who visit the Baja on the importance of protecting the diminishing populations of the Giant Mantas and Hammerhead Sharks; and to reach a wider population, with a special emphasis on children, who have the potential to save our oceans. The Secrets of the Sea of Cortez is set to exciting original music, it also includes a special commentary option with the videographer and a local marine biologist so you can learn about what you are seeing making it educational and entertaining. Secrets of the Sea of Cortez is a professionally produced DVD which includes the thirty minute feature, easily accessible chapters, a high resolution slide show, map of the La Paz area dive sites and an UnderwaterTV promotional video. Discover the Sea of Cortez and many of the secrets it has to offer, great as an educational tool, gift for any lover of the seas, or for anyone who has an interest in wildlife conservation.

I've spent 11 years in the Baja and this video was the worst waste of film I've ever seen. Really criminal to charge for this junk. Gig

Very good film! It totally went with my class's book Shark Beneath the Reef! When you play it, play the version that has the scientist narrating it - really interesting!
