Product Description AGENT 007 IS HURLED INTO AN EXPLOSIVE, PULSE-POUNDING RACE TO SAVE THE WORLD FROM NUCLEAR TERRORIST.
Amazon.com After years of enduring Roger Moore in the role of James Bond, it was good to have Sean Connery back in this 1983 film for a one-time-only trip down 007's memory lane. Connery's Bond, a bit of a dinosaur in the British secret service at (then) 52, is still in demand during times of crisis. Sadly, the film is not very good. In this rehash of Thunderball, Bond is pitted against a worthy underwater villain (Klaus Maria Brandauer); and while the requisite Bond Girls include beauties Kim Basinger and Barbara Carrera, they can't save the movie. The script has several truly dumb passages, among them a (gasp) video-game duel between 007 and his nemesis that now looks utterly anachronistic. For Connery fans, however, this widescreen print of the Irvin Kershner (The Empire Strikes Back) film is a chance to say a final goodbye to a perfect marriage of actor and character. --Tom Keogh

Great Movie!!! July 24, 2010 Antonio Vanzetti This is yet another one of Sean Connery's greatest movie's thank you very much for getting this to me on time!!
One of the best Bond films June 7, 2010 M. Gibb (Auckland New Zealand) Connery at his charming best! Not to mention it has the best Bond women and best villains and the best Bond woman villain! Far better than Thunderball. Some people call this an unofficial Bond but this is untrue, they had the rights to make this Bond story, its just not made by the people who made most of them.
Not the same Bond. April 15, 2010 E. Leatham (Portland, Oregon United States) Great movie. I didn't know the history and that this was an "unofficial" Bond movie. The extras did a good job of explaining it and the movie is great.
Blu Rays don't work on older DVDs April 10, 2010 VERA Eustaquio (Uruguay) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I should have known it, but bought it in a hurry for a gift.
It should be made clear.
Good Movie March 8, 2010 A. Secunda (PA) I got this movie as a present for someone who LOVES Bond movies. He likes the movie, and I enjoyed it also. It's funny at times, there's action, and of course Sean Connery makes it (even though he is a little older). Overall, good buy, especially if you're looking to buy the large collections that they have, because this is the only older Bond movie that is not included in those DVD collections.
