Not worth the price October 25, 2008 Kathrine My husband bought me this watch for my birthday. Five months later a red button fell off. I exchanged the watch. It was supposed to be water resistent up to 100 meters. I swam laps with the watch, and the time display became so fuzzy I could barely read it. None of the other functions worked by this point. I sent it back with an explanation to the company. A new watch was not given to me. Instead they sent me back my nonworking watch.
Weird LADIES Watch October 16, 2008 Alexander Jason Have you noticed that neither Nike nor all the Nike dealers show a photo of this watch on someone's arm? Nor do any photos show the width of the wristband. Such a weird shaped watch really needs such photos to give potential buyers a clear understanding of the shape and size. The first thing to note is that this is a WOMAN'S watch. The band is very, very narrow. Nike doesn't tell you that it is for a woman, but it is. The numbers on the curved display are difficult to read. I've been wearing a Nike Triax for several years and I like the display but not the one on this weird, weird "Vapor" model. Nike appears to be more interested in being "edgy" than producing a practical watch. I returned it.
Don't buy if you need it for an alarm September 28, 2008 B. Slack (Huston TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Universal - is really a ladies watch. It is WAY to small to pass as a man's watch and I have really small wrists. There really is no alarm function on this watch. I wanted to set it to beep every three hours for my meals, but it never worked. It took me a hour to figure out how to set it up to do this (because there is really no function on this watch to beep every "X". Once I set it up I realized that the alarm was so quiet that I could never hear it no matter what was going on. I even set it to wake me up and faintly heard it beeping and even put it to my ear and it sounded like it was in the next town over. The buttons are stiff and feel cheap, and the band is not that great. Really stiff and plastic. I was really excited about it, but returned it asap....
Try it on first September 17, 2008 philbert943 The wristbands come off this watch at a fixed angle. The result is that the fit of the watch is essentially fixed. My wrist is a little bit too big resulting in a really awkward fit. The watch face is lifted up off my arm b/c the curvature is too small. If they just made the top of the wrist bands more rubbery instead of hard plastic it'd fit much better. Other than the fit, the features are great. The display is easy to read without breaking stride. Try it on before you buy it!!
Good watch with a couple annoyances July 12, 2008 D. Harrison The watch looks neat and the angled face with big numbers is helpful when running or driving. Overall I really like this watch, however there are a couple of annoyances. For one the watch is a lot thicker than I expect and it feels bulky. Another thing I don't like is the buttons stick and you got to use your fingernail to get them to push just right. It's a good watch though with big numbers, angle face and the band wraps snugly around your wrist.
